We usually do not target sharks from our area, but we do have to deal with them when the tuna fishing is good. Sharks love to eat helpless tunas on the way to the boat. We usually catch 2 or 3 mako sharks per season, which are excellent eaters, and a hammerhead or dusky thrown in for good measure.
